Some are better known than others, well off the beaten tourist track. Sagrada FamiliaBarcelona enjoyed a golden era towards the end of the 19th and start of the 20th centuries, both artistically and historically, unlike any other European city.  This social and industrial apogee, which, together with the disappearance of its old Medieval walls, plus, in modern, urban terms, a massive expansion, led Barcelona to be a true city of architects, as it still is today.
