Allow me to accompany you in ascending the highest mountain, nearest to Barcelona, that of the Matagalls peak, at a height of 1,699m. At the same time we’ll cross Europe’s most southerly beech wood, a landscape which is often snow covered in winter time. The ascent takes 2 hours from the starting point and average fitness is required. The views over inland Catalonia are excellent, looking as far as the Pyrenean mountain range. The photos shown correspond to a winter excursion. Imagine this same landscape when the meadows are verdant, abundant, with trees covered in leaves!
Half-day return excursion, from your accommodation point.
