 The variety of landscapes is enormous and all of them stand out for their pure nature, the variety of flora and fauna, clean rivers and their high peaks, which are snow-capped for many months of the year. This is Catalan high mountain land, well away from regular tourist circuits.

I suggest to cross the ‘Parc Nacional d’Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici’, the only one of its kind in Catalonia, from west to east, going through the mountain pass Portarró d’Espot, 2,423m high. Continue reading
