The ‘Sardana’, Catalonia’s traditional dance.

SardanaCatalonia’s national dance is the Sardana. This typical Mediterranean dance is in healthy shape, very popular in the region and always a feature of every local festival. Many Catalans master the dance steps at a 6/8 beat to perfection, spontaneously organising big circles, to the music of an eleven member wind-instrument band. Would you like to see it? Perhaps you’d like to learn the steps and join the dance?

Some dates are possible in Barcelona, as well as those of the local patron saints festivals in the outlying region. Just ask me!
